Snow………….Nature at it’s best!

Last night the news folks told us it was gonna snow.  And?  It is Illinois and  it is January!  So?  WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY:  snowfall 6-8 inches!  AND?  It is Illinois and it is January.  This went on for hours and hours. Me?  I am sitting in my office cheering every snowflake. BEAUTIFUL, peaceful, awesome snow.  And all I could do was say Thank YOU.  Thank you God, Thank YOU Universe, Thank YOU!

I am happy.  My dogs are thrilled. And the snow plow guys who haven’t made any money this year are thrilled.  It should be snowing now.  It should be covering this part of the world.  The old timers will tell you about stories of sleddng and skating on the creek (which doesn’t freeze anymore)  I can’t help but be grateful for this day.  Here in Illinois, in the snow and at peace .     Thank YOU.

I love snow, and I really wish we had more this year! The past few years we have barely had any. My boyfriend was disappointed when he moved down here after hearing so many of my stories about our hills and mountains covered in feet of beautiful snow, only to experience none of it :<
