Two Months and Counting

A little over two months ago my only daughter moved to Key West. I have survived. Have there been days I would give just about anything to see her? Yes! But she is a grown up and is doing amazingly well! The first weeks there she found a boy, a job and a place to live ( not exactly in that order ) She still has the place to live. The boy is gone and so is the first job. She actually got two jobs the first day out looking. She went to the second one first and liked it enough to stay. She met some people, got the lay of the land and next thing I know she is looking for something else. I would have stayed at the first job maybe forever, but she is much more demanding of what she really wants than I so she moved on.

Now she is working at Parrot Key Resort which is a beautiful, high end resort with sister resorts she can spend time in as well. Another of their resorts is Tranquility Bay Resort in Marathon, Key.

She is making friends and finding new and exciting things on the island every day. One of her favorite things is the hotel policies in the area that allow locals to use the pools and jacuzzi’s of their resorts. She spends a fair amount of time at the Inn at Key West because it is right by her apartment and it is beautifully landscaped and has a nice outdoor bar.

All this makes me happy to report that she is doing fine……………. and so am I. We will see her soon. Probably for the Blogher conference in Chicago in July.
